Two-way sync
Changes in Atlassian or Microsoft 365 instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Atlassian and Microsoft 365 in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two tools in the daily stack often hold overlapping information: the same people, the same companies, or the same pieces of work, described twice. The tools do different jobs, so consolidating is not the answer; the overlap just needs to stop drifting.
Stacksync syncs Issue Comments, Attachments, Custom Fields, Workflows and Statuses in Atlassian with Groups, Mail Messages, Calendar Events, Contacts in Microsoft 365 in real time. You choose which records overlap, map the fields that should match, and pick a direction or let changes flow both ways. From then on, an update made in either tool is reflected in the other within seconds, without exports or copy-paste.
Because the sync is field-level, each tool keeps its own extras; only the shared data is held in agreement.
Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
Information that originates in Atlassian stays current in Microsoft 365 instead of going stale after a one-time paste.
When work started in one tool continues in the other, the shared fields travel with it automatically.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Atlassian objects | Microsoft 365 objects | |
|---|---|---|
| Boards and Sprints Agile structures read to report on sprint contents and status. | Groups Microsoft 365 and security groups kept aligned with org structure and access rules. | |
| Issue Comments Threaded discussion synced into linked tickets in external systems. | Mail Messages Exchange Online messages read for logging, archiving, or activity capture. | |
| Attachments Files on issues mirrored to paired records where needed. | Calendar Events Events synced with scheduling tools and CRMs for meeting visibility. | |
| Custom Fields Instance-specific fields (customfield IDs) that carry most business-specific data in syncs. | Contacts Personal and org contacts kept consistent with CRM contact records. | |
| Workflows and Statuses Status transitions mapped to stages in the paired system. | OneDrive Files (driveItems) File and folder metadata synced for document workflows and audits. | |
| Users and Groups Assignees and reporters matched to identities in other tools. | SharePoint Sites & Lists List items read and written like lightweight database tables. |

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Atlassian and Microsoft 365: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Atlassian's Boards and Sprints and Issue Comments), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Atlassian: REST APIs per product (Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 (3LO) for apps or API tokens with basic auth for scripts. Microsoft 365: REST API (Microsoft Graph). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via Microsoft Entra ID, with delegated or application permissions. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Atlassian: Issue transitions are workflow-controlled, so writes that change status must call the transitions endpoint with a valid target state rather than setting the field directly. Microsoft 365: Access is scoped per permission via Entra ID admin consent, so an integration only sees the workloads it was granted. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Atlassian and Microsoft 365 without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Atlassian and Microsoft 365 records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Atlassian and Microsoft 365 connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Atlassian–Microsoft 365 integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Atlassian and Microsoft 365. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
