Two-way sync
Changes in Customer.io or Microsoft Dynamics 365 instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Customer.io and Microsoft Dynamics 365 in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two tools in the daily stack often hold overlapping information: the same people, the same companies, or the same pieces of work, described twice. The tools do different jobs, so consolidating is not the answer; the overlap just needs to stop drifting.
Stacksync syncs Newsletters, People, Objects, Events in Customer.io with Custom Tables, Accounts, Contacts, Leads in Microsoft Dynamics 365 in real time. You choose which records overlap, map the fields that should match, and pick a direction or let changes flow both ways. From then on, an update made in either tool is reflected in the other within seconds, without exports or copy-paste.
Because the sync is field-level, each tool keeps its own extras; only the shared data is held in agreement.
Information that originates in Customer.io stays current in Microsoft Dynamics 365 instead of going stale after a one-time paste.
When work started in one tool continues in the other, the shared fields travel with it automatically.
Contact and company details corrected in either tool update the other, so nobody works from the old version.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Customer.io objects | Microsoft Dynamics 365 objects | |
|---|---|---|
| Objects Non-person entities such as accounts or companies, related to people for account-level messaging. | Products Catalog records aligned with ERP item masters. | |
| Events Behavioral events sent via the Track API that trigger campaigns. | Activities Emails, calls, and tasks captured for engagement analytics. | |
| Segments Attribute- or event-based groups; data syncs feed the attributes segments evaluate. | Custom Tables Dataverse tables that carry business-specific entities through the same API surface. | |
| Campaigns Automated workflows whose membership and metrics can be read via the App API. | Accounts Company records synced bi-directionally with ERPs, databases, and billing systems. | |
| Broadcasts One-off sends to segments or audiences, triggerable via API. | Contacts Person records kept consistent with marketing, support, and data-warehouse copies. | |
| Deliveries / Messages Per-recipient message records whose lifecycle events flow out through reporting webhooks. | Leads Inbound records enriched and routed from external sources into sales queues. |

Common patterns for Customer.io and Microsoft Dynamics 365: Where Microsoft Dynamics 365 is where the team documents or plans: keep its data fed; Handoffs between teams; Where both tools track people or companies: one consistent record. Information that originates in Customer.io stays current in Microsoft Dynamics 365 instead of going stale after a one-time paste.
Customer.io: REST APIs split by purpose: Track API for data ingestion, App API for campaigns, people lookups, and messages. Authentication: Basic auth with site ID and API key for the Track API; bearer token for the App API. Microsoft Dynamics 365: REST API (Dataverse Web API, OData v4); Finance & Operations apps expose a separate OData data-entity surface. Authentication: Microsoft OAuth sign-in: user provides the D365 environment URL, signs in with Microsoft credentials, and accepts the Stacksync app (permissions to read CRM data and interact with OData entities). Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Customer.io: The Track API is ingestion-oriented: integrations identify people and send events, and Customer.io matches records on identifiers such as id or email. Microsoft Dynamics 365: CDC on custom entities does not work until Change Tracking is manually enabled per table in Power Apps/Dataverse. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Customer.io and Microsoft Dynamics 365 without custom code.
