Two-way sync
Changes in Shopify or Snowflake instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Shopify and Snowflake in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
The CRM feeds the warehouse and the warehouse should feed the CRM: relationship data flows one way, and computed scores, segments, and customer context flow back. Most teams build the first half as a batch pipeline and never quite get to the second.
Stacksync does both with one connection. Customers, Abandoned Checkouts, Products, ProductMedias from Shopify land in Snowflake as live tables, updated within seconds, and columns computed in Snowflake write back to fields in Shopify. There is no separate ETL and reverse-ETL stack to stitch together and no jobs to babysit.
Deduplication and normalization done in Snowflake can be written back, so warehouse-side cleanup actually fixes the CRM.
Accounts, contacts, and activity from Shopify are queryable in Snowflake moments after they change, so dashboards stop lagging the reality they describe.
Lead scores, churn risk, or usage segments computed in Snowflake appear as fields in Shopify, where the people working accounts actually see them.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Shopify objects | Snowflake objects | |
|---|---|---|
| Abandoned Checkouts Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Materialized Views Precomputed results synced outward for low-latency reads. | |
| Products Catalog entries; often mastered in a PIM or ERP and written into Shopify. | Streams Row-level change records on a table, consumed to process deltas instead of full scans. | |
| ProductMedias Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Stages File staging areas used for bulk loads into synced tables. | |
| ProductVariants Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Tasks Scheduled SQL used to transform synced data after it lands. | |
| Orders Purchase transactions; pushed to ERPs for fulfillment and billing, and read into databases for reporting. | VARIANT Columns Semi-structured JSON payloads stored alongside relational columns. | |
| Customers Buyer records; matched to CRM contacts for marketing and lifetime-value analysis. | Virtual Warehouses The compute a sync's queries run on, sized independently of storage. |
Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Shopify–Snowflake connection.
Changes in Shopify or Snowflake instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Trigger automated workflows whenever Shopify or Snowflake data changes, update records, fire webhooks, or kick off sequences without brittle API scripts.
Handle millions of events per minute without losing a single Shopify or Snowflake record.
Track your Shopify ⇄ Snowflake sync health, view errors, and replay failed events in one click.
Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions between Shopify and Snowflake.
Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Shopify and Snowflake with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Shopify and Snowflake objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Shopify and Snowflake: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Shopify's Abandoned Checkouts and Products), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Common patterns for Shopify and Snowflake: Cleanup that sticks; CRM analytics on live data; Scores and segments back on the record. Deduplication and normalization done in Snowflake can be written back, so warehouse-side cleanup actually fixes the CRM.
Shopify: GraphQL Admin API (primary) and REST Admin API (legacy). Authentication: OAuth via a custom Shopify app: admin creates an app in the Shopify Dev Dashboard, enables required API scopes, sets the Stacksync redirect URL, then supplies shop name + Client ID and Client Secret to Stacksync. Snowflake: SQL via JDBC/ODBC and native drivers, plus the Snowflake SQL REST API. Authentication: Dedicated Snowflake service user + role with RSA key-pair authentication (Stacksync-provided public key), created via a setup script requiring SECURITY_ADMIN and ACCOUNTADMIN roles. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Shopify: Shopify has made the GraphQL Admin API its primary surface and designated the REST Admin API as legacy, so new integrations target GraphQL. Snowflake: External tables are not supported. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Shopify and Snowflake without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Shopify and Snowflake records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Shopify and Snowflake connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Shopify–Snowflake integration in-house.
As a data company, we understand the importance of keeping your data secure. Stacksync is built with security best practices to keep your data safe at every layer, and is DPF-certified for US, EU, UK and CH data transfers.
Let your users access Stacksync from your centralized user management systems. Works with Okta, Azure, Google SSO and more.
