Two-way sync
Changes in SendGrid or Shopify instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep SendGrid and Shopify in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
The CRM is supposed to be the record of every customer relationship, but customer-relevant information also accumulates in the other tools a team runs. Whatever SendGrid holds or produces that touches a customer, whether conversations, payments, replies, enriched data, or notes, the CRM only benefits if it arrives without someone copying it over.
Stacksync connects Categories, Senders, Single Sends, Unsubscribe Groups in SendGrid to Customers, Abandoned Checkouts, Products, ProductMedias in Shopify with bi-directional, real-time sync. Activity and record changes in SendGrid update the matching contact or account in Shopify, and CRM data flows the other way wherever SendGrid can store and use it.
Owner, lifecycle stage, or account details from Shopify sync into SendGrid, so people working there have the context without switching tools.
Tickets and conversations attach to the right contact and account in Shopify, so sales sees open issues before the next call.
Prospects, sends, and replies sync into Shopify, keeping lead status current without manual imports.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between SendGrid and Shopify: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as SendGrid's Single Sends and Unsubscribe Groups), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for SendGrid and Shopify: Where SendGrid can store CRM context: fields kept current; Where SendGrid handles support or shared inboxes; Where SendGrid runs outreach. Owner, lifecycle stage, or account details from Shopify sync into SendGrid, so people working there have the context without switching tools.
SendGrid: REST API (v3). Authentication: API key (create in SendGrid Settings > API Keys with Custom Access / Full Access for the objects to sync; key begins with "SG"). Shopify: GraphQL Admin API (primary) and REST Admin API (legacy). Authentication: OAuth via a custom Shopify app: admin creates an app in the Shopify Dev Dashboard, enables required API scopes, sets the Stacksync redirect URL, then supplies shop name + Client ID and Client Secret to Stacksync. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
SendGrid: Email Activity data retention depends on subscription level (typically 7 days by default, 30 days with the add-on). Shopify: Shopify has made the GraphQL Admin API its primary surface and designated the REST Admin API as legacy, so new integrations target GraphQL. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between SendGrid and Shopify without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means SendGrid and Shopify records are not retained after a sync operation.
